Citizen Housing Group Award New Contract...
Astleys is delighted to have been selected as the preferred provider for Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Workwear for Citizen Housing Group.

Citizen Housing Group is one of the largest social housing businesses in the West Midlands. Astleys have been scored highest overall for our tender submission for this Public Contracts Regulated tender. The contract to supply uniform and PPE to Citizen is for a period of up to five years. Jonathan Astley, one of Astleys' directors, said; "We are delighted at this award as it cements further Astleys relationship with Citizen Housing Group and runs alongside our existing relationship supplying janitorial, cleaning and hygiene products." |
Astleys have two specialist divisions, Industrial & Safety and Cleaning & Hygiene, with staff who have many decades of experience in delivering exceptional levels of service and expertise.
Jonathan went on to say; "We are gratified that the huge amount of work and dedication put in by our team in developing the tender submission has been recognised with this latest award. We are looking forward to getting stuck into the contract's implementation."

The scope of the contract includes carefully selected safety footwear, PPE and many ranges of garments, from simple T'shirts and Polos, to more technical hi-visibility and weather-proof garments. Trousers from the brand Jobman Workwear, well known for their superb comfort and longevity, feature strongly too.
Astleys are specialists in the provision of garment contracts and have been supplying large population roll-outs for over 35 years. Most of the garments supplied to Citizen will be decorated with the Citizen Housing Group logo, a process that is controlled within our Garment Manufacturing Control Procedures. The GMPC systems were initially developed by Astleys 20 years ago, to deliver consistency to a well-known, multi-location national distribution organisation with over 30,000 wearers - now, every single customer ordering decorated garments from Astleys benefits from the same technical capacity.
A web-portal has been developed to assist with online ordering and features all of the products authorised to be ordered by nominated stake-holders at Citizen. This easy-to-use facility will automate the ordering process, which in turn will be managed by our Oracle-based NetSuite ERP system.
NetSuite allows Astleys to manage the entire process from procurement planning, stock-management, through to fulfilment and delivery. Detailed Management Reports have been designed and are available so that usage and budgets can be monitored closely.
